The House

The “Little Blue House” embodies many things in my life and while its basic function is to provide shelter, its value greatly transcends this utilitarian purpose. Above all it is home; a place that protects, comforts, and in all its quirks, cradles the souls of its stewards. It is by this tidal relationship that the Little Blue House provides all one could need, asking only to be loved. It is a catalog of fleeting moments that are bound within its walls, serving as a living time capsule, continuously adding to its cache. It is a source of inspiration and creativity, allowing wonderfully dynamic and new plans for itself to emerge out of its abandonment. It is also portal into the wonders of nature, both flora and fauna, illustrating its delicate balance and enthralling dance. It is through this wonder of nature, this flawed Eden, that the Little Blue House becomes a source of food, health, and happiness of its caretakers. It is all of these and many others. It is my hope that this journal of sorts will give insight into the life of this Little Blue House as I know it to be.
